Just got back from the
American Historical Association meeting and thought I'd share one or two images from the trip. First is a "trying to be subtle" picture of the Gates of Hell... no, actually, it's the mass interview room known as the "Job Register." I think the blur reflects much more accurately how people feel in there than a crisp, sharp shot would have.

Speaking of historic, did any of you catch that conjunction of Mars and the Moon on the Full Moon at Christmas? We had a great view, but the pictures weren't what I wanted.
