Ahistorical Guestbook

This was the original message here:
I've been doing this blog for almost six months now, and am quite curious as to who my readers are. So I invite you to de-lurk long enough to post a comment here.
That was almost a year ago. I want to put a little chart here with landmark visitor counts, instead of sticking myself in my own guestbook as I had been doing, and thank everyone who's signed in.

I don't do this for the traffic, but I'm too neurotic to ignore it....

Well gosh, you'd think someone would have the decency to sign in the way you'd asked! Obviously you have readers, though, because you have comments. Even discussions! Or at least exchanges.

Is it true what they say: the first 3000 are the hardest?

Depends on what pace you want, Grace. This is a relief-valve for me, a sideline to a hobby, so I actually am pretty surprised that I've garnered as many readers here as I have (though many of my regulars are people with whom I have other connections). If the pace stays as it has (slow, with rare peaks), fine. If I stop getting links from other bloggers (and I don't get that many now), I'll still be here, until I'm not. If I get more links, the pace will go up, and that'll be fun, too.

I get your posts via RSS/Atom feed. I could be called a lurker because I don't have much time to dawdle these days so I don't often comment. I am able to read much of what you post though.

Maybe I should post more often at my own site, eh?

Well I think you already know I read this blog, so probably quite pointless to leave a note, but since it seems quite important to you...

Congrats on reaching the 6000 mark. /I put a link to your comments policy in my sidebar, so obviously you're getting tons of traffic from my blog. /sarcasm :D ;)

I just discovered your blog. I was attracted by your resent blog on the criminal justice system.
I blog daily on issues related to anger management.
I will visit again.

Thanks for reading and linking to my blog, and for all your words both kind and critical.

I've been reading your blog every so often since you picked up a post I submitted to some carnival or other; I just now got around to blogrolling you.
